International Cancer Research Partnership (ICRP) announces the launch of their new Web site
The International Cancer Research Partnership (ICRP), an alliance of cancer research organisations working together to enhance global collaboration and strategic coordination of research efforts, announced today the launch of their newly designed Web site.
The new site offers improved navigation and online tools to view data on cancer research funding representing more than 50 organisations from around the world. With data on over 57,000 grants totaling more than $12 billion, the Web site provides unique opportunities for researchers and funders alike.
ICRP members include some of the largest funders of cancer research in the world. Members share grant funding data in a common format to allow comparisons across all organisations.
According to ICRP Operations Director Lynne Davies, “Members now have the analytical tools at their disposal through our Web site to conduct pooled data analyses to identify areas of strengths and gaps in cancer research, avoiding unnecessary duplication and enhancing their ability to fund strategically. For cancer funders around the world, joining ICRP has never been more important or held more benefit.”
The revamped Web site also allows cancer researchers to review ICRP members’ funded research to look for gaps in cancer research as well as to find collaborative opportunities. “Cancer researchers that visit our site will find a wealth of information that has never existed in a single location before,” says Davies.
The ICRP is actively seeking additional cancer funding organisations from around the world to join the Partnership and contribute to global collaboration and coordination.
