In this cross-sectional study, e-cigarette use was independently associated with lower use of lung cancer screening, particularly among individuals who had quit smoking combustible cigarettes.

Emerging research suggests that e-cigarettes contain definite and probable carcinogens and cause similar cancer-associated gene deregulations as combustible tobacco.
