The OECI, for which ecancermedicalscience is the official journal, will be holding its Oncology Days in Poznan, Poland from June 19th-22nd 2018.
The annual convention of the Directors of the European Cancer Centres and Institutes is being hosted in Poland for the first time. This year is a major milestone event for the OECI as it is the celebration of the OECI’s 40th Anniversary since the very first meeting of the Directors of some of the main European Cancer Centres back in 1979.
The OECI mission has always been to encourage and stimulate the European cancer community to work in partnership, reducing disparities, providing the best available cancer treatments and survivorship plans for all European cancer patients in the context of sustainable health care systems. In this aim, the OECI jointly upholds quality standards and also supports innovative approaches.
The 2018 OECI Scientific Conference will discuss which emerging technologies in therapies against cancer should be selected and adopted by cancer centres, taking into consideration the potential cost benefits.

We are an independent charity and are not backed by a large company or society. We raise every penny ourselves to improve the standards of cancer care through education. You can help us continue our work to address inequalities in cancer care by making a donation.
Any donation, however small, contributes directly towards the costs of creating and sharing free oncology education.
Together we can get better outcomes for patients by tackling global inequalities in access to the results of cancer research.
Thank you for your support.
