From 24th October to 30th October, it's International Open Access Week!
The 2016 theme is "Open in Action." The Open Access Week Advisory Committee hopes that advocates will take this opportunity to discuss and share concrete steps to "open up" research and scholarship.
Interested parties can share their own plans from a list of provided actions here.

ecancermedicalscience is an open-access journal. Our articles are free for all to read, and our unique "Pay What You Can Afford" model means that authors only pay to publish in our journal if they have access to dedicated open-access funding.
We are an independent charity and are not backed by a large company or society. We raise every penny ourselves to improve the standards of cancer care through education. You can help us continue our work to address inequalities in cancer care by making a donation.
Any donation, however small, contributes directly towards the costs of creating and sharing free oncology education.
Together we can get better outcomes for patients by tackling global inequalities in access to the results of cancer research.
