Diagnosis and treatment of cancer in the 21st century

These modules on coding topography, morphology and cancer stage have been developed through a collaboration between the European Network of Cancer Registries, Joint Research Centre of the European Commission and ecancer.

The purpose of the modules is to train the cancer registrars to implement the international classifications for coding a cancer case.

This module ‘Diagnosis and treatment’ presents information on diagnosis and treatment of cancer as well as the topography, morphology and stage of cancer using the third edition of the International Classification of Diseases for Oncology (ICD-O-3) and the eighth edition of the UICC TNM Classification of malignant tumours.
