Target audience

This module is for health teams in India providing cervical cancer screening and treatment facilities.

Learning objectives

By the end of this module you will be able to:

  • Define the essential components of palliative care.
  • Describe the role of health workers in a palliative care setting.
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of the family and how they differ from health workers.
  • Define the principles of a good death.
  • Implement the WHO analgesic ladder to promote effective pain management.
