Target audience

Post-graduate surgical trainees.

Learning objectives

On completion of the module the learner will:

Have an awareness of the prevalence of metastatic disease.

Describe the investigations for detecting colorectal metastases.

Highlight the role of multidisciplinary teams in the management of colorectal liver metastases.

List therapeutic strategies for colorectal metastases, including:

- Operative resection
- Adjuvant and neoadjvuvant therapy
- Interventional radiology
- Palliative intervention
