Breast Cancer Medical Management

This module covers the medical management of breast cancer including hormonal, biological, chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments.

This e-learning course covers best practices in breast cancer surgery. Experts from across the UK have contributed to ensure this course meets the educational needs of post-graduate surgical trainees looking to extend their knowledge on surgery in breast cancer. Developed in partnership between ecancer and Health Education South West to form an educational partnership called ePOSSOM.

Target audience

This course was developed to support the professional development of post-graduate surgical trainees.

Learning objectives

By the end of this module, you should be able to:

  • To know the up-to-date evidence for the hormonal, biological, chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments available for early and locally advanced breast cancer.
  • To know the up-to-date evidence for the treatment of DCIS.
  • Understand the variety of treatment options which exist for chemoprevention in high risk groups.
