Dr Josep Malvehy - Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain

Dr Josep Malvehy speaks with ecancer as the co-organiser of the EADO 2018 congress in Barcelona about the success of this year's meeting and about some of the key topics.

Dr Malvehy explains that there were important breakout sessions on managing databases along with skin cancer centres and also the connection of different departments.

He discusses the importance of challenging the disparity of patient access to treatments in order to provide patients across a wide range of countries with the best treatments in a shorter time frame.

He also explains that while we are able to improve early diagnosis, a key issue raised is that there is still a disparity in the delay of the early detection of the cancer, something to be improved by education and access to medical care.
