In this second of a three part roundtable discussion on the highlights of the Patient Advocacy/Ethics Track at The 2011 Stockholm Cancer Congress, members of the ECCO Patient Advisory Committee discuss treatment in the age of targeted therapies and explain why advancement in tailored cancer therapy and care is so vital. The panellists also explain the new and unique Court Room Trial session, where Patient Information will be put on trial. Complete with a Judge, Prosecutor, Expert Witnesses, Defendant (patient information) and the Congress delegates acting as Jury, this ‘mock’ trial will address the issues surrounding patient information taking a lateral look at health literacy, engaging the audience rather than presenting to it.
