Dr Juan Carlos Astigueta is a researcher and professor at the School of Human Medicine at the Antenor Orrego Private University. He is the head of the Department of Urology Oncology of the North Regional Institute of Neoplastic Diseases, Perú.
Dr Astigueta received his medical degree from the National University of San Agustin, and in 2003 started his career as a surgeon oncologist at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases in Lima, where he completed his training in urology oncology. In 2008, he started additional education in laparoscopic and robotic surgery with training in CIMI Caracas and Cleveland Clinic Ohio.
Professor Astigueta’s clinical research, publications and scientific presentations have primarily focused in urology, oncology and minimally invasive surgery, related to penile, testicular and prostate cancer.
