Dr Mark Block - Memorial Healthcare System, Hollywood, FL, USA

Dr Mark Block speaks to ecancer at the 2019 ASCO Direct Highlights Symposium in Miami about lung cancer screening to achieve earlier detection.

He explains the importance of this type of screening and what he anticipates for the future of lung cancer care. This includes a decline in lung cancer rates due to reduced smoking, but also an increase in the development of this type of cancer in former smokers.

Dr Block also describes further exciting developments in this setting, including improved screening methods and non-surgical treatments.

He concludes by discussing the various strategies used to manage pulmonary nodules.
