Dr Laura Velazquez

INSERM / Universite Paris 13, France

Over the past few years, Laura Velazquez and her research group has focused on the analysis of haematopoietic signalling molecules and notably on the physiopathological role of the Lnk/SH2B family of adaptor proteins. In particular, they centred their efforts in characterizing the molecular mechanisms by which the Lnk/SH2B family of adaptor proteins regulates haematopoietic homeostasis, using the  Lnk-/- mice as animal model. As these animals displayed a phenotype resembling human myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN), they have also developed a translational project based on the analysis of Lnk adaptor in patients affected with these diseases.
