Dr Trine Jakobi Nøttrup - Copenhagen University Hospital, Copenhagen, Denmark

Dr Trine Jakobi Nøttrup speaks to ecancer about the randomised phase II DOVACC trial.
This trial investigated whether adding the hTERT-targeting therapeutic cancer vaccine UV1 to olaparib, with or without durvalumab, could improve outcomes in patients with BRCA wild type recurrent ovarian cancer.

Median progression-free survival was 8.7 months with UV1, durvalumab and olaparib versus 5.9 months with olaparib alone.

However, the difference did not reach statistical significance.

She says that this exploratory analyses suggested potential benefit in homologous recombination deficiency-negative and PARP inhibitor-naïve subgroups, warranting further investigation.
