Subcutaneous tarlatamab shows promising safety and activity in previously treated extensive-stage SCLC
Dr Alexander Drilon speak to ecancer about results from the phase I/II ARROS-1 trial evaluating zidesamtinib in patients with ROS1-positive advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who had not previously received tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy.
He reports that zidesamtinib demonstrated promising antitumour activity, achieving an objective response rate of 93%, with 86% of responses ongoing at 12 months.
Dr Drilon highlights particularly encouraging intracranial activity, with a 100% response rate among 10 evaluable patients with measurable brain metastases, including a 70% complete response rate.
He also reports a manageable safety profile, with low rates of dose reductions and treatment discontinuations.
These findings support further investigation of zidesamtinib as an earlier-line treatment option for patients with ROS1-positive advanced NSCLC.
