Dr Payne talks about her work as a trainee spokesman at the ACP. One of her main priorities is to coordinate the trainee weekend, which is an educational opportunity for trainees nationwide. She goes on to discuss a trainee survey carried out by the ACP, which was the first such survey for medical oncologists. There was a good response rate, and Dr Payne discusses the findings. The survey highlighted that there are lots of good areas of clinical training, but some areas obviously needed addressing. After asking the trainees for their feedback on the results of the survey, it became clear that, among other things, e-learning resources need to be developed to fill the gaps.
