One of the most important aspects of a patients care comes after treatment as the advance practice nurses handle survivorship care and informing patients how to successfully live with the disease. The role of the advance practice nurse, who assumes the care once the treatment finishes, handles the large portion of cancer treatment and a survivor’s life style during scheduled screening.
