Target audience

This module is for health teams in India providing cervical cancer screening and treatment facilities.

Learning objectives

By the end of this module you should be able to:

  • Describe the diagnostic tests available for detecting pre-cancer and cancer of the cervix
  • Describe the treatment options available
  • Understand the FIGO cancer staging system for cervical cancer
  • Describe the treatment options for advanced cervical cancer
  • Define the ‘screen and treat’ approach
