EACR-AstraZeneca Virtual Conference - Drug Tolerant Persister Cells
7 - 8 Dec 2021
Virtual
Drug Tolerant Persister Cells represent a subpopulation of drug tolerant cancer cells that proliferate slowly, if at all, in the presence of drugs and can re-enter the cell cycle after drug withdrawal. This conference will focus on the dynamic nature of these persister cells and on the vulnerabilities of these cells that can be used for their selective elimination.
The identified topic is one of high priority and current significant interest, with several recent high profile publications.
At the conference, participants will:
- Be updated on, and will learn about and discuss the dynamic nature of these persister cells and the vulnerabilities of these cells that can be used for their selective elimination.
- Be able to use the presented data and newly acquired knowledge to further their own understanding and apply it to their own research activities.
- Develop collaborations with peers to advance the cause of treating and preventing cancer.
Topics to be covered:
- Biology of persister cells
- Novel targets in persister space
