Prof Peter Barrett-Lee - Cardiff University, Cardiff, UK

Prof Barrett-Lee speaks at the Highlight Welsh Cancer Research Conference about the history of breast cancer across Wales, from the ABC trial of the mid-90s and beyond.

He reflects on the trials of adjuvant tamoxifen, the founding of breast screening programs in Wales, and the introduction of central node biopsy to the UK.

He highlights the Wales Cancer Bank as a valuable repository of data, the work of charities in supporting patients and clinicians, and looks forward to future growth across Welsh cancer research.
