Prof Paul Matsudaira - National University of Singapore, Singapore

Prof Matsudaira discusses the importance of mechanobiology in understanding cancer. He explains how the mechanics of cell movement are important for understanding the metastasising of cancer and the way is able to move to other parts of the body. Matsudaira founded both the centre for bioimaging in Singapore and the Mechanobiology Institute (co-director) and stresses the importance of computational imaging for observing cell migration. In addition, he provides some insight into the work he has done with zebra fish.
