Dr. Sibylle Loibl discusses data that shows pregnant breast cancer patients do not receive the correct breast cancer treatment. Treating pregnant patients with chemotherapy did not compromise birth weight. The study recomends anthracycline based treatment for pregnant patients and stresses that optimal treatment can be offered with no apparent ill effects to the child.
