Dr Matti Aapro - Genolier Cancer Center, Genolier, Switzerland

Prof Matti Aapro speaks to ecancer at the International Society of Geriatric Oncology 2018 conference in Amsterdam about osteoporosis and osteopenia in elderly patients.

He describes how this is especially common in older patients, particularly exacerbated after hormone therapy, but he gives insight how to reduce some of these effects.

Prof Aapro describes how using bisphosponates and denosumab are ways to reduce bone metastases and also other bone related events.

This service has been kindly supported by an unrestricted grant from Janssen Oncology.
