We continue to seek financial support from donors to further our mission to improve cancer communication, education and dissemination with the goal of improving patient care and outcomes.

ecancer is funded by the ECMS foundation which was established by Professor Umberto Veronesi and Professor Gordon McVie to fund the speedy dissemination and communication of cancer information. The ECMS foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organisation with charitable status. The founding charities are the European Institute of Oncology (IEO), European CanCer Organisation (ECCO), Fondazione Umberto Veronesi, Fondazione IEO and Swiss Bridge.

In addition, ecancer relies on the continued support of the broader cancer community, the librarian community, patient advocacy organisations, policy makers, and more.

Education modules

ecancer creates online educational modules for the oncology community with the belief that by improving education and dissemination, patient care and outcomes will ultimately improve.

Sponsors can support existing modules or suggest a topic for a new module in an area of practice not already covered. All potential modules are reviewed by the ecancer editorial board to ensure all new content addresses a real educational need.

ecancer will maintain full editorial control of the ecancer education content.
