Prof Jim Denham - University of Newcastle, Australia
Prof Jim Denham discusses the ten year results of a study investigating the optimal duration of androgen deprivation hormone therapy in men with locally advanced prostate cancer. The study demonstrated that six months of hormone therapy is associated with a reduction in recurrence, a drastic reduction in metastases and consequently mortality. Prof Denham speaks about the significance of this data and explains what further investigations he will be doing to supplement these results.
